“I have been singing rap for almost six years now. My early years as a rapper wasn’t as gratifying because the exposure and platforms available to present my songs were minimal. I still remember how happy I was when I recorded my first song. I listened to it over and over again because it was a dream come true for me. When I heard it for the first time, I was amazed. I was beyond happy with what I had produced. I got my breakthrough after releasing my first track ‘Tshomen’ from my mini album ‘Gypsy from the east’ with LWK. Honestly, it was one of the happiest moments of my life. This was the track that gave me a sense of certainty that I would be able to pursue a rapping career.

I did my high-schooling at Chukha. As a kid, I had always dreamt of becoming a Lawyer but somehow I failed to work towards my dream as my marks weren’t as expected to become a lawyer. This year I graduated from Sherubtse College and I am waiting for the main examination for the Civil Service right now. We have so many opportunities around us yet sometimes we cannot see them. The challenges in our way as an artist heavily challenge our endurance to chase our dreams. Finance, fan clubs and distributors are some of the challenges I have been facing. For instance, to record a song we have to pay the studios and no money is instantly generated from there; it’s a one-way investment with no profit;

I am currently working on the last track of my mini album and I have few collaborations with some artists as well. I have recently released the second track ‘Lugi Raow’ and another single ‘Jang Dhi’ in which I try to express how I feel right now as an unemployed graduate just staying home and doing nothing.

But no matter what, life is great sometimes. I feel that someday I will achieve most of my goals and reach my dreams. I really hope that everyone does as well! My advice to people would be- Read and write more, talk to yourself in the mirror, and listen and grind hard!
Peace ”
